👋 Hey y’all. We’re live! Couldn’t be more excited to launch this newsletter.
Thanks to everyone on Discord + Twitter who helped us test... keep the feedback coming.
This week we teed it up with Hamilton Coleman, the reigning U.S. Junior Amateur Champion. Me & Wes went low out there too... but did we go as low as Hamilton? 🤔 Enjoy this week’s vid and find out. Show Hamilton some love: @hammygolf 👏 Plus our all-time Ryder Cup picks, what makes Bethpage Black so tough, and a look back at our best Major Cut round there. And don’t miss the exclusive news below. 👀 📰

Quote of the Week 💬
Did you catch Wesley’s drive with just 1,790 spin? He followed it up with an all-timer 😂: “If I get my spin numbers near when this country was founded — that’s a good tee ball.” It also sparked a new idea: Golf Meets Trivia ⛳🧠 Every hole, each player answers a trivia question... get it wrong and it’s a 1-stroke penalty. Wesley’s already calling out Micah Morris. Who wants to see this video? |
Driver Change = Big Distance Increase 👀 💣
I recently made the switch from the Callaway Rogue ST Max
to the Titleist GT3. As you saw in this week’s video,
I’ve been able to get my spin rates consistently down to 2,400 or lower.
That’s been huge for adding distance without needing more speed. More on what causes + how to lower spin rates below!

Next time you’re testing a new driver, pay attention to the difference in spin rate...
and of course, how good it looks 😂.
|
Nerd Out – Spin Rate ⚙️
Focus on lowering spin only if you’re consistently above 2,600–2,700 RPM.
If you’re already below that, you’re right where most pros wanna be.
Why spin climbs:
⚠️ Steep attack angle ⚠️ Off-center contact ⚠️ Extra loft / open face How to bring it down: ✅ Shallow swing path ✅ Hit center of face ✅ Lower-loft head + fresh ball Lower spin = longer carry + roll. 🚀 Challenge: On a launch monitor, try cutting spin by 10%. Tweak setup, strike, or gear — then watch drives chase. 🔥 |

All-time Team USA vs Team Europe picks.
We flipped a coin to choose teams...Wesley got USA and picked his all-time Team USA, I took Team Europe.
Now it’s over to you… which team wins the Ryder Cup?

What makes Bethpage Black so difficult 🎆
Bethpage Black has a reputation for being one of the toughest
tests in golf and we felt every bit of it. From the
brutal rough to the tight fairways and
long, punishing par 4s, it forces you to hit every shot in the bag.
Add in the massive greens and tricky bunkering, and it’s no wonder it’s hosted majors and soon the Ryder Cup. In my opinion? Surviving Bethpage is as much mental as it is physical. |

George’s Tip of the Week 💡
Watch the video, then dive into this week’s focus: Week 2 — Chipping: Pick the right club (not the 60!) ✅ The Goal: Make chipping easier and more consistent with a more forgiving loft. ✅ Measurable Outcome: With a 54°/56°, land 8/10 chips inside a 6-ft circle. Repeat twice. ✅ What to Work On:
“Make the easy choice: 54° over 60°” |
What a week — we launched the newsletter 🎉, teed it up with the
U.S. Junior Amateur Champion,
and dropped the news that we’ll be back competing on the
Asian Tour this October.
With Ryder Cup week here too, it feels like golf overload (in the best way). Thanks for following along — and keep sending us your feedback, we love hearing from you. btw... exclusive newsletter merch drop next week 👀
