👋 Hey y’all! My first time this far across the world (5th or 6th for Wes)... and we’re teeing it up in an Asian Tour event in the Philippines. No idea how the jet lag will hit, but we’re fired up!

Jason Day might just be my new favourite golfer. He’s exactly how you saw him... genuine, funny, and down-to-earth ⛳ Was a blast sharing 18 holes.

🔥 Round 1 in the Books

Wesley: 73 for Wes. A lot of real good. Just 2 bad drives that cost him 4 strokes.
George: Driver was off but not terrible for me. Need more fairways tomorrow!

✈️ Passing Time on the Plane

George: forced myself to sleep & then I literally watched one whole TV series from the US to Korea, and then another from Korea to Manila. 20 hours, 2 TV shows.

Wesley: he slept a lot, watched a couple of seasons of shows... no Wi-Fi the whole plane (disaster for the new generation)... but luckily he downloaded some stuff.

🍽️ How we Fuelled for Round 1

Tbh... this will be our go-to breakfast each morning ready for the day's round — I'm happy with eggs & toast... Wesley needs that Nutella hit!

🎯 Pre-Tournament Goals

George: my primary goal is making the cut — that would be amazing... but let's throw in a North Star goal — a top-20 finish!

Wesley: his primary goal is (you guessed it) — to take home the trophy. If not that... make the cut, and IF NOT THAT... just don’t finish dead last 😂

Own Your Wedge Speed 💡

Week 7 – Own Your Wedge Speed

• Most distance control on Tour comes from length of swing, not tempo.
• Develop two stock swings — one hip-to-hip (~50 yards) and one shoulder-to-shoulder (~75 yards).
• Focus on your self-perspective — what feels hip-to-hip or shoulder-to-shoulder to you may look longer on camera, and that’s okay.
• Stay consistent with your ball position and launch for every wedge shot.
• Repeatable feels = repeatable yardages. Own your launch. Own your speed.
