This was our third year doing The Q and honestly it’s some of the most fun content we get to be part of. This one felt different. Eight players, all seeded, straight into match play. Then the final four go into an 18-hole shootout for a PGA Tour spot. You’ve got to play great early, then handle pressure, then go low when it matters. That format just works. A few names couldn’t make it with schedule clashes, but the level was still ridiculous.

A lot of people ask if The Q is a preview of what’s coming. In some ways, yes. But YGT goes way further. More structure, more on the line and something that actually feels like a season, not just a one off. If you liked The Q, this is the evolution of it.

Filming doesn’t slow down. More matches, more competition and more on the line. Now that everything’s coming together, this is where it starts to get really fun. Monday is just the beginning.

Fix Your Takeaway

  • Avoid rolling it inside early — that’s what causes the steep move later.
  • Set up with a stick or object 2–3 feet off the ground just outside your takeaway.
  • Feel the club go over it going back and under it coming down.

Get this right and the slice disappears.
