Bryan Brief Fairways & FunDays
👋 Hey y’all. Quick shoutout to this week’s partner Medistik for powering the Bryan Brief. This week got a little chaotic… We’re talking TGL hole-in-ones vs real ones, the never-ending double eagle vs albatross debate… and whether anything outside the big four can actually be called a “major.”

Plus our thoughts on Ticket leaving Bob Does Sports. And yeah… LeBron sent us a care package. Let’s get into it!

George
P.S. If you’re missing left, this week’s Tip of the Week with V1 Sports shows how a better backswing turn can fix it… and if you want your swing reviewed by my (George) coach Pelli, make sure you submit it.
Does a TGL Hole-in-One Count?
TGL Hole in One
Short answer… no. A TGL or simulator hole-in-one doesn’t count as a real ace. It’s not the same as doing it on an actual golf course, and we don’t put it on the scorecard.

But it’s still awesome. When we’re doing Chasin Aces on stream, we never count them officially… but we absolutely lose our minds when one drops. It might not count, but it’s still a moment.
Still playing through the pain?
Medistik Power Trio
The stiffness before the first tee. The back that tightens by hole 12. Most golfers carry one thing and hope it lasts. Pain doesn’t work that way.

Medistik built the Power Trio to cover the whole golf day MORNING • ROUND • AFTER

Double Eagle or Albatross?
Double Eagle vs Albatross
We’re split on this one. Wesley is all-in on double eagle and will shout it from the mountaintops, while I’ll usually say double eagle too… even though I know albatross is probably the correct term.

At the end of the day they mean the same thing, three under par, but double eagle just sounds cooler. Sometimes I’ll throw in albatross just to stir Wesley up a little.
What We’re Learning from Golf GameBook
Golf GameBook Bryan Bros
It’s been fun actually tracking everything properly. Once you’ve got a few rounds in, you start to see patterns in fairways, putts, scoring… all the stuff you think you know, but now it’s right there in front of you.

The best part is the competition side. Leaderboards, most birdies in a month, one-on-one battles… it turns every round into something a bit bigger, and we’ve been loving that.
Is The Players a 5th Major?
The Players Championship 5th Major
No.
Ticket Leaving BDS
Ticket Bob Does Sports
That one hurts. Ticket was an absolute vibe and a huge part of what makes Bob Does Sports what it is, and you could feel that every time they filmed together. It’s never just one guy with that crew… it’s the whole group dynamic.

He’s going to crush whatever he does next, no doubt. Still… he’ll be missed, and it won’t quite feel the same without him. Team Ticket for life.
LeBron Sent Us a Care Package…
Still doesn’t feel real. LeBron sent over a care package with some custom Beats, which is just a wild thing to be able to say.

Super cool gesture and one of those moments where you just sit there for a second. Really appreciate it.
Tip of the Week 💡

Pelli Tip

Fix the Left Miss

  • If you’re missing left, it often starts with a poor backswing turn where the arms lift but the body doesn’t rotate.
  • That puts your body out in front early, forcing the hands to flip and square the face last second.
  • Your hips should turn about 45 degrees in the backswing, not stall while the arms lift.
  • Try this drill: place a stick from your lead toe to your trail heel and match that angle at the top of your swing.
That’s it for this week’s Bryan Brief.

If you’ve got a take on the hole-in-one debate or you’re firmly team double eagle… hit reply and let us know.
