Bryan Brief Fairways & FunDays
👋 Hey y’all. This week’s newsletter is about a trip on our golf bucket list for yearsIreland, with Fairways & FunDays. We’re talking Old Head, Tralee, Waterville, Ballybunion and Lahinch. Some of the best links golf anywhere.

It’s the Atlantic views, tiny towns and history around the courses that make Ireland special. In this edition we’re walking through what a dream Irish golf trip actually looks like… on and off the course. If Ireland’s on your golf list, this one’s for you.

P.S. Don’t miss this week’s giveaway further down the newsletter… and if you want your swing reviewed by my (George) coach Pelli, make sure you submit it via this week’s Tip of the Week.
🇮🇪 Dream Irish Trip
Old Head Ireland Golf
Ballybunion, Old Head, Tralee, Lahinch & Waterville. All World Top 100. This is Ireland done properly. World class golf. Breathtaking views. Legendary Irish hospitality. If Ireland has been on your list… this is how we'd do the trip.
✈️ Arrival in Ireland
Group arriving in Ireland meeting Corey
Bags everywhere. Energy high. We land, step through arrivals… and there’s Corey. Meet & greet sorted. Chauffeur drive waiting. No taxis. No stress. No logistics to think about. This is where the trip really starts.
Day 2: Golf at Old Head
Old Head Golf Links Ireland
First round at one of the world’s most scenic golf courses. Perched on a narrow headland stretching two miles into the Atlantic, Old Head Golf Links delivers views you simply don’t get anywhere else. Clifftop tees. Ocean on every side. This is links golf at its most dramatic. Has anyone played Old Head?
Day 3 & 4: Golf at Tralee & Waterville
Tralee and Waterville Golf Links Ireland
Two legendary links. Two unforgettable days. First up is Tralee, Arnold Palmer’s spectacular masterpiece carved through towering dunes along the Kerry coastline. Then on to Waterville, one of Ireland’s most celebrated links courses and a favourite of champions for generations. Atlantic views. Rolling dunes. This stretch of golf is as pure as links golf gets.

Legendary Irish Hospitality ☘️
J.M. Reidys Pub Killarney Ireland
Killarney might be the ultimate post-round town. I (Wesley) thought I’d take the reins for this bit… because after a full day on Irish links golf, this is where things really get interesting. Old pubs, live music, great food and a lot of golfers (George) telling stories about the shots they *almost* pulled off. And of course… the first proper Guinness of the trip. Which brings me to George. I actually have the footage of George’s first ever sip of Guinness… so I figured I’d transcribe the review for y’all.
George’s First Guinness Review 🍺
First sip… long pause… slightly confused face.

“I’m gonna be honest… I don’t think I like it.”

The bartender looked offended. The locals looked concerned.

I told him he’s legally required to try at least two more sips before forming an opinion.

Day 5 & 6: Golf at Ballybunion & Lahinch
Ballybunion and Lahinch Golf Links Ireland
The trip finishes with two of Ireland’s most legendary links. Ballybunion, a long-time favourite of Tiger Woods, is everything you imagine when you think of great Irish links golf. Towering dunes, wild Atlantic views and holes you remember forever. Then there’s Lahinch, often called the St Andrews of Ireland. One of the oldest and most loved courses in the country. Blind shots. Huge dunes. Pure links golf to finish the trip.

Fix the Stuck Block

  • If you get the stuck block it often comes from a squat and twist transition move.
  • That move ruins sequencing leaving your body spinning while the club gets trapped behind you.
  • Think baseball pitching work down the mound first then plant the lead foot before rotating through.
  • Use the step drill step back swing back step forward swing.
