👋 Hey y’all, George here.
Anthony Kim winning again this week got me thinking about comebacks… and how wild the last ten years have been for us.
From trick shot compilations to tripod vlogs, from Bermuda to where we are now, it’s been a ride.
Let’s rewind it a little.

🔥 Mate...This One Is Insane
Say what you want about LIV vs PGA Tour. That’s noise.
The fact Anthony Kim disappeared for over a decade and then comes back and wins on a world stage is wild.
At first I thought, cool story… but does he still have it?
Then he gets through LIV Promotions. Three rounds. 150+ guys. Three cards. That’s pressure golf.
That’s when it clicked. Maybe he’s still got some of that old juice.
Is it Tiger at Augusta in 2019? No. Nothing touches that. But this is right up there. I remember seeing AK at the U.S. Am. Big belt buckle. Swagger. Aura. Something different. Seeing him win again brought that feeling back. As a golf fan, that’s just cool. |

🎥 The Bros Comeback
Our comeback was way less glamorous. In 2020 it was just me, a tripod, and a Q-School prep vlog at Aiken Golf Club. No team. No strategy. Just talking to a camera and trying not to sound awkward. It felt painfully cringey at the time, and I almost didn’t post it. But people watched. People cared. A few uploads later Wesley jumped back in, and suddenly the channel had life again. Looking back, that simple restart might have been the most important decision we ever made.

🎬 Where It All Started
The very first Bryan Bros upload was just a trick shot compilation. No real story. No personality. Just highlights we thought were cool, because back then social media meant shorter was better and talking on camera wasn’t even a thing. We had one picked up by ESPN under the lights, which felt huge at the time, but looking back now, they were rough, poorly filmed, and barely any commentary. Still, that’s where it began → because you don’t wait until you’re ready, you just press upload and learn on the way.

🏆 The Bermuda Turning Point
The YouTube Championship in Bermuda was different. Six creators. 18 holes. No script. Just competition and vibes. It felt like a major for YouTube golf. We were playing with some of our best friends in the creator space, but it was still competitive and still real. That video has over 5 million views now, and looking back, it was a launch point. It proved something to us → YouTube golf could be storytelling, competition, and entertainment all at once.

🤦♂️ The “Worst” Ones
If you scroll back to 2016 through 2019… there are some very rough ones. Bad thumbnails. Strange edits. A younger version of me trying to be what I thought the internet wanted instead of just being myself. Some of the lowest view videos were things like the Linkin Park one or the llama one, and sure, numbers-wise they were “failures.” But honestly, some of those were the most fun to film. Views don’t decide whether a video matters. |

👀 When It Became Real
I don’t remember the first time someone recognized us, but lately it happens everywhere. Airports. Planes. Random bakeries in Germany. Someone walks up and says, “Hey, love the videos.” It still feels surreal. Not because of ego, but because it means something we started with a tripod and zero clue has actually reached people. That is the part that never gets old. If what we do encourages someone, distracts someone, or just makes them smile for a few minutes, that’s bigger than any view count.

🤔 The One “What If”
If there’s one thing Wesley and I still talk about, it’s this. Back in 2015 and 2016, when other creators were filming real golf on real courses, we kept ourselves in the trick shot lane. We were professional golfers… but we didn’t film our matches. Maybe we did not know how to shoot it properly. Maybe we were hesitant to show more personality. It is not a bitter regret, it is more curiosity. What would this channel look like today if we had started the match series five years earlier? Still, everything unfolds the way it is supposed to. And we would not trade this journey for anything.
